Appearance

Short, shoulder-length dreadlocks sit in a mossy mess atop his head, delicate white flowers intertwined throughout. From under the fall of locs, two piercing yellow eyes peer out with the brilliance that only a miqo'te can claim. When he smiles, his elongated canines are right at home among two rows of filed pointed teeth.He is a rather short man, but no one could claim that he didn't live an active lifestyle. His arms are corded with sinewy muscle, and if one were to look at his hands, they'd find them worn with callouses and scars alike, notable marks of an archer. If his abilities were not obvious by then, the bow and quiver he keeps at his back would most certainly banish any doubts.Tribal tattoos mark his face and body, the latter often covered by simple clothing better suited for the outdoors: leathers, furs, and linen. The occasional bone and wood bauble might decorate his armor, but it's rare to catch him without a feather in his hair.

Mannerisms & Speech

He smiles easily, and often, but nary a sound will leave his lips. He's quick to gesture most animatedly about his opinions, miming when necessary. It would become obvious to most early on in their interaction with him that he is indeed mute, but not at all hindered by this.He does not sign, nor does he write to communicate. In this aspect, he is much like a Qestir, though he's had limited 'conversations' with them.When in the presence of another of his tribemates, he might shift into a more sophisticated sign language, but none outside of the Sigwa would interpret it beyond speculation.

Background

Rukh is a member of the Sigwa tribe, a mixed Miqo'te tribe that keeps its location a secret from most other outsiders. Their tribal structure is at odds with both their Keeper and Seeker counterparts, which is only further complicated by the answers they do provide.As Rukh is nonverbal, he can share very little of his family, but it's obvious by his smiles when they're present that he is near and dear to his people. His actions speak louder than words, it's clear that he'd be the first to jump into action if his family was in danger.He is a hunter for the Sigwa, providing food as well as protection when they're on the move. Coupled with his skill with a bow, he is also a talented falconer, with a large female hawk as his staunch companion that he's named 'Maganda'. When referencing her, he will often stroke the back of a curled finger against his cheek.
